    philips dvd player and dvd-r`s

    hi all,,,

any dvd i do myself wont work on a philips dvd 761 its about 2 and a half years old,but some i
bought do work,i read on vcdhelp,it has problems with self
authored dvd-rs,the ones i do, work on a couple of other dvd player models,i tried every thing,,

    smartripper,dvdecryptor,dvd2one,dvd95copy,dvdshrin
    k.

    recordmax now,,nero,gear,

    but still no joy,,

i used the same processes on a know working one,,ripped it an burned it,,
and i did the same from an original i had,

the know working one still played,,the one from the original didnt work no matter what i did,

i really think its how the vob files are created,,,

used the same disks for both,i want to keep every thing the same,,,

if anyone has do some dvd-rs that worked for the above player,,let
    me know how,,

how do i get the best compatibilty,,

    many thanks,,,

"it has problems with self authored dvd-rs"

It may be time to get a new player. They've become very inexpensive...

found something interesting about the above,,

i started using sonic my dvd,,

when you click on get movies,,in the window that opens,,in file of types,,you have,,

        movies(avi,m2p,m2v ect)

but the next one down says,,

        philips IFO files (ifo)

so the burning question is how do you create a compatible philips ifo file,,,,
